THE JEFF BECK OXBLOOD 54 TRIBUTE LES PAUL

One of the most respected guitarists in the world, Jeff Beck continues to inspire fans and musicians even to this day and, by his side all the way, his incredible Gibson 54' Les Paul Goldtop, also known as the "Oxblood", has helped carve Beck’s reputation in stone as one of rock’s all-time virtuosos.

Starting life as a 1954 Les Paul Goldtop that was brought into a local music shop where Beck had been having some maintenance carried out on one of his own instruments, the original owner of the Goldtop had requested that the P90 pickups be replaced with full sized PAF Humbuckers and as wanted a special 'deep red' refinish to help hide repairs and modfications that had been carried out previously... the result did not impress him but luckily, Beck fell in love with the newly refinished guitar and purchased her there and then!Since that time, the guitar, featuring its unique 'off-black' finish exhibiting tints of reddish brown in the light (like Ox Blood), has since become Beck's principle player, featuring on many timeless recordings and touring with him for decades – uniwue in both look and tone, this piece of musical history, realised with incredible detail featuring a totally accurate relic finish, Gibson Burstbucker 2 & 3 pickups, modern replacement machineheads and super light-weight Aluminium Wrap-around tailpiece, can now be yours to cherish for a lifetime.
