THE DARON MALAKIAN TRIBUTE ICEMAN
Daron Malakian is considered one the best guitarist of his genre, dark, brooding and effortlessly entertaining, Malakian, along with “System of a Down” have created a distinct look and feel to their music. After a long-running affiliation with guitar manufacturer Ibanez, the guitarist collaborated with the brand to produce a variation on their world-renowned Ibanez Iceman to create the DMM1. Featuring a custom made tailpiece plate and custom control layout, it was Daron’s father (an abstract and expressionist artist of some recognition in his home country) that hand painted his son’s custom made Ibanez DMM1 with a beautiful piece of artwork that captured the essence of the player, his music and his band to the letter and solidified the guitar’s place in musical history.
